Stuart Schooley, Founding Member, is owner and president of Dutch Springs, one of the largest fresh water facilities for scuba diving in the United States. Before this, he held various roles in finance and accounting, including founding his own accounting firm Comprehensive Business Services.
Stephanie Olexa, Founding Member, was most recently the Executive Director of the Center for Vision Loss, a nonprofit agency that provides services to the blind and visually impaired. Previously, she founded Benchmark Analytics, an environmental and analytical testing lab, which was sold in 2007 and she continue to lead until 2009.
PK Govind, PhD, retired after a successful career in science, microelectronics, telecommunications, and business development at Bell Labs/Lucent. He now volunteers his time as a business mentor. As an angel investor, his focus is on finding creative entrepreneurs who are venturing into new markets and applying unusual ideas to existing markets.
John T. Yurconic is president of the John Yurconic Agency, an insurance, vehicle registration and driver license services company. John serves on various board of for profit and not for profit companies.
Jim Gordon is the President and CEO of Robert Rothschild Farm, a leading manufacturer of gourmet food products in Urbana, Ohio. He is also a founding partner in several other companies including the Thuet Restaurant Group in Toronto, Canada.
Joseph P. Mallee III was recently appointed the General Agent for Lehigh Valley Financial Group, a general agency of MassMutual Insurance. Formerly Sales Manager at Independence Financial Associates (IFA), a PennMutual career agency in suburban Philadelphia, Joe has over 10 years experience in the financial Industry. Specializing in advanced planning cases, coordinating the efforts of attorney, accountants, and trust officers, Mallee began his planning career with West Shore Financial Group, Tampa, FL. He then returned to his home in PA and became the Director of Advanced Planning for IFA, where he was promoted to Sales Manager in January 2009. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from LaSalle University with a major in Finance and minor in Risk Management Insurance. He is a multiple-year qualifier of The Million Dollar Round Table and a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, the Association for Advance Life Underwriting (AALU), and the Union League of Philadelphia.
David Serfass is President and past owner of Serfass Construction Co., Inc. with a BS in Construction Engineering from Bradley University.
Steve Mohle is a local investor specializing in commercial real estate, primarily office buildings and industrial flex buildings. Steve’s favorite pastime is traveling.
Fran Waller is a retired science and technology researcher with a PhD in organic chemistry. His 31 year industrial career spanned E. I. duPont and deNemours and Company in Wilmington, DE and Air Products in Trexlertown, PA. He has authored or co-authored 46 U.S. patents and 71 scientific articles. After retiring in 2005, he wrote 2 books. The first entitled Writing Chemistry Patents and Intellectual Property: A Practical Guide and was published by Wiley and the second entitled Chemistry for Patent Attorneys will be published by Lexis Nexis in mid-2014. He also taught a 1-day short course on intellectual property. During his professional career, he also developed and taught organic and polymer science courses at St. Lawrence University in NY, Simmons College in MA, and Lehigh University. Presently, Fran consults on perfluoro ion-exchange polymers.
Sujal Shah is currently the Vice President of Investor Relations at TE (formerly Tyco Electronics). He has a BS in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from Lehigh University. Since starting his career in AT&T Bell Labs, Sujal has gained over 25 years of experience in the high tech industry, including over 10 years experience running investor relations as an executive at 3 public companies. Through a variety of roles in engineering, marketing, and investor relations, he has developed strong relationships within the technology sector and the Wall Street community. Sujal also invests in real estate and helped his wife start Link2Language, a growing Spanish interpreting agency based in the Lehigh Valley. Born and raised in the Lehigh Valley, Sujal now resides in Fogelsville with his wife and two children.
A Lehigh Valley Native, Bruce Loch is President of Loch, Elsenbaumer Newton & Company, and he leads the firm’s practice in the areas of real estate, construction and litigation support. Bruce received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Drexel University where he was a member of the accounting society. Upon graduation he served three years with the firm of Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) in their Philadelphia office. He is admitted to practice as a CPA in Pennsylvania and before the IRS. In 2001, he was one of the first accountants in the US to pass the Certified Forensic Accounting exam offered by the American College of Forensic Examiners International, and he received the prestigious designation of Certified Forensic Accountant (Cr.FA). In 2008, he was awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of the American Board of Forensic Examiners.
Mark Kuester, a Lehigh Valley native, is the recently retired Vice President of Business Technology at Pfizer, Inc. where he led a large global organization responsible for Information Technology and Automation across Pfizer’s entire global manufacturing and distribution network. During his 28 year career with Pfizer, Mark held positions of increasing responsibility in Pharmaceutical and Consumer Product Logistics Operations, Supply Chain, Transportation, ERP, Manufacturing and Information Technology. Mark held a prior position in Business Development with a railroad and served as a part time adjunct college professor of Microeconomics. Mark is founder and president of Quester Enterprises, LLC. and has is an avid investor. Mark holds a B.S. degree from Susquehanna University and an MBA from Lehigh University. Mark successfully completed an Executive Leadership program at Harvard University. Mark has two adult sons and resides in Bethlehem PA with his wife Sara.
Fred A. Achey, PhD recently sold a property management business he founded in Bethlehem, PA (APEX MANAGEMENT). His formal academic training is in both the technical (chemistry) and real estate disciplines where he earned a PhD in analytical chemistry, and a Pennsylvania Real Estate Broker’s license. He also owned and managed a portfolio of residential real estate in the Lehigh Valley.
Before entering the real estate field he was co-owner of a specialized laboratory instrumentation company (Serfass Corp). Following the sale of that company to the Milton Roy Corp in Florida, Fred joined the research department of Bethlehem Steel Corp.
